The home was designed to complement the streetscape with pitched roofs, but to provide a contemporary feel with modern materials, colours and forms.

Parkdale House - Renovation and Extension
Modern, Linear extension to an existing single storey home, with space and light being priorities for the large open plan living area, with a new kids bedroom/living wing in the second storey. An industrial, but clean aesthetic was fulfilled via exposed steelwork, black window frames, recycled bricks and exposed concrete floors. Flush and level internal to external transition through large sliding doors adds to space perception, and invites the outdoors inside.
Hampton House - Renovation and Extension
Classic, Traditional extension to a brick california bungalow with plenty of life and character remaining, but in need of refurbishment. A south facing rear yard required innovative design to collect precious northern winter sun into the new open plan living areas. Careful planning and discussion with the owner created a thoughtful, practical & timeless result.
South Melbourne - Warehouse Conversion
Warehouse / Office conversion to create an inner urban luxury dwelling. The project requirement for multiple vehicle parking at ground level, an inverted floor plan with living areas to the top floor and the bedroom wing on the middle floor, has enabled the rejuvenation of an under utilised building and provided the Client with a generous and unique dwelling in a high density city zone.
Hampton House - Heritage Renovation and Extension
A contemporary extension to an existing California Bungalow in Hampton, Bayside, Melbourne, recently commenced construction. A Town Planning Permit was required to build in a Bayside Council heritage zone, gained via a contemporary extension at the rear of the property. Highlight clerestory windows provide north sun to the south facing Living areas, with extensive glass walls providing generous natural light to the internal areas and views to the new pool and alfresco areas. The new kitchen, living & dining modernises the original California Bungalow house to suit the level of accommodation required of a new home in Bayside Melbourne.
Hampton House
This brief required a style update and re-configuration of an existing two storey brick veneer home, with the addition of a much needed carport and the integration of a new outdoor area with the proposed pool. The outcome will be a comfortable, stylish, high value home befitting the locale. The hamptons style suited the existing roof pitch of the house and the bungalow character of the neighbourhood.

Mixed Use Development
Successful Town Planning Application for a demanding urban integration development project to create a 4 storey, mixed use building on a small corner site in Iconic Smith Street. Building includes basement car parking, lift to all levels, 2 x Retail Premises plus rear Office to Smith Street with 9 Residential Apartments on the upper floors. Constraints included Urban and Town Planning requirements to integrate the primary facade massing and style with the adjoining heritage buildings, creation of identifiable separate Residential entry and to juxtapose primary facades with the upper facades in a differing contemporary style.
